Fishing Locations

South Branch of the Potomac:
Catch dozens of smallmouth and largemouth bass on one of the most scenic, but gentle waterways in West Virginia. Float the shallow rapids in comfortable two-person drift boats, or wade into the eddies and pools. Outings on a stretch of river between Moorefield and Green Springs, WV include "The Trough", a picturesque limestone canyon where bald and golden eagles are also seen fishing.

North Branch of the Potomac:
This stretch from Keyser, WV to Cumberland, MD meanders 15 miles, and is filled with tons of smallies. This section is commonly featured on Maryland Public TV for fishing adventures. We've caught over 50 smallies per person in a single day! The rock outcrops are spectacular!

Cheat River:
This premier bass fishery between Parsons and Rowlesburg, WV is also popular with fly fishermen. Several sections are stocked with trout, and the Cheat offers excellent catfish. On a good day, you can catch more than 30 bass! Enjoy the mountain scenery as you float through a series of shallow riffles past seven small islands where you can explore, or relax and enjoy lunch.

Cacapon River:
Miles of gentle floating riffles from Cacapon bridge to Largert. Talk about remote! This is a great river camping adventure. Abundant wildlife & incredible smallmouth fishing. If you want to get away from it all... check out this float trip!

Private ponds
I have acquired private lease rights to three large bass lakes, giving us over 20 acres of amazing fishing. There are some big boys in these private lakes! I've caught 10 bass over 8 lbs in these waters. The lakes are located in Monongalia & Preston County, WV.
